Come see and celebrate art by Push/Pull members and accomplices past and present! We've been around for TEN YEARS making weird stuff for people to look at, so come look!!

We've shown work by hundreds of independent artists over the years, many local, some not, some formerly local but who've since moved away!

COLLECTIVE CONSCIENCE opens this Thursday, December 21, with opening reception from 6-9pm, and brings together a decade of work from artists who've been part of the Push/Pull collective and cooperative in some capacity.

Check out the wide breadth of subject matters, mediums, and madness represented in this weird family! 💖

Native Moths of Seattle

7/18/2023

Picture
Opening this Thursday, July 20th, alongside The Mind of Plants!

Native Moths of Seattle is an exhibition of scientific illustrations by Francesca Udeschini featuring ten of the Seattle area’s most dazzling moth species. All the moths represented in this series of illustrations are
native to the Pacific Northwest and have been frequently documented in the Seattle area. Despite their beauty and the frequency of their distribution, most folks have never seen or even heard of any of these moths.

The goal of this exhibition is to increase public awareness of Seattle’s native moth species, and to shed light on a part of the natural world that usually remains out of sight.

A book containing pieces from the exhibit will also be available.

Francesca Udeschini (they/them) is a queer, Italian-American, interdisciplinary artist and scientific illustrator based in Seattle whose work explores themes of mortality, impermanence, and transformation. Their practice is all about slowing down, observing the natural world, and reflecting on the passage of time.

They hold a deep love and respect for the flora and fauna of the Pacific Northwest and use scientific illustration as a point of entry for bearing witness to the sacred life which surrounds us.

Francesca earned a BFA from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in Florence, Italy, where they studied oil painting. They also received a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where they studied sculpture and alternative photographic processes. In 2019 they received a Certificate in Natural Science Illustration from the University of Washington. See more of their work at www.francescaudeschini.com.

Moving in Stereo(Scopic)

12/27/2022

Push/Pull Members and friends present a one-of-a-kind exhibition in...

⚡⚡⚡STEREOSCOPIC VISION⚡⚡⚡

The show concept is old-school 3D art (aka stereoscopic printing), with the red and cyan glasses. Original art is transformed into the third dimension before your very eyes! With the use of a risograph printer and red and cyan glasses, we've taken original art and given it the comic book treatment of days of yore.

We'll also be compiling and releasing a limited run of 100 books containing images of the original art alongside their 3D versions (glasses included). The exhibition will have 3D glasses available for attendees to enjoy the art in its full multidimensional glory.

The opening reception and book release is Thursday, January 19th, from 6-9pm! The show will be on display through February 15th.

Alternate Realism: The Art of Denise Ortega

8/18/2022

Alternate Realism is Denise’s -- or cheezymicron's -- first solo show which highlights the ways she has been able to use art to express and heal over the past few years.

Each piece evokes raw emotions that tell a story of an individual struggling to find peace within themselves and the world around them. Nestled amongst what might seem like ordinary backgrounds and portraits are traces of things gone slightly awry, blood splatters and bandages, things not being what they seem.
