From the artist: I kind of broke my brain in 2014 when I did an illustration a day, and subsequently drawing became harder for a while. After a couple of years I got back into illustration again, but this time, because of too much time staring at a screen for my design jobs, I broke my eyes. Working at the art gallery, with all our art supplies, just for kicks I bought a black paper journal and started playing around with colored pencils, which allowed my eyes to relax more, but broke my brain again—this time in a good way; I had to re-think how I approached the drawing process on a fundamental level. This show is a result of all my attempts to rediscover my love of illustration. Vladimir Verano is a designer and illustrator in Seattle and longtime member of Push/Pull! Join us for the Opening Reception of VOIDWORKS on Thursday, March 21st, from 6-9 PM!
