Here’s everything that came with the May 2025 subscription boxes. Watercolors: Wild Strawberry: Can you make a red paint with no red pigment? yes! This beautiful cool red is proof. It’s a combination of our Process Yellow and Quinacridone Magenta. Kingfisher: Teal is a strong favorite color at Pull/Pull but making teal paint can be difficult. Kingfisher is a gorgeous sparkly teal. It reveals its full beauty on the paper. Nightshade: Another addition to our Vegan collection. Vegan paints us glycerine instead of honey as a wetting aid. Nightshade is a Mars Black which gives it a warm feel. Quetzal: We were so excited to get this restock out that it shipped minus packaging. This color is made by Morgan Robles and transforms the usually opaque and flat Chromium Oxide Green into a lovely, shimmery, transparent green. Marigold: Did you know Kaylyn’s birth month flower is a marigold? Well, I do because she just got a tattoo of one. So, in celebration of Kaylyn and every other October baby, I created a watercolor and ink in a golden yellow. Dahlia: If you love the Dahlia ink, you’ll love the Dahlia paint. It’s inspired by the ink and is a bright magenta. Now for Inks! This month I wanted to experiment with more drawing inks and especially with trying to create a vegan drawing ink. There is one fountain pen ink this month, Marigold. It should look familiar because it was created to pair with the Marigold watercolor (above). Drawing Inks! There are two not sparkly inks - Delphinium and Camellia, and one very sparkly Green Beetle. Drawing inks are great for dip pens or using with a brush.
If you subscribed to our Deluxe box, you got everything, plus one of our new My Gay Agenda sketchbooks in the Pride variation. Next month we’ll be featuring more Pride themed art supplies and we’re looking forward to getting them all put together for you.
