ART-STROLOGY opened on Saturday, and it feels nice to have such a bright, colorful show on the walls after a(nother) rough week of news and current events.
Every piece is available as a 3-color Risograph print (aqua, flo pink, yellow) as well as a collected calendar with blank dates and blank days of the week, so you can use it for any year, and with whatever weekly format you prefer. Sunday-first? Monday-first? Want to be weird and start on Wednesday for some reason? You can do it! Availability is limited though, so don't wait if you think you want something! Here's a video reel of the show if you can't make it in person!

A few pieces have already found forever homes, so swing by soon to take your pick of the rest, or just see these lovely cats before they're off to their new families!
Cheers to everyone who joined us last month for the opening reception of Stanza: Lost & Found, especially all of the wonderful poets who read their work! It's always lovely being able to see and hear artists present their work.
Many thanks for everyone's patience as we worked hard to assemble copies of the zine this year. It's always too easy to underestimate the amount of time it takes to print, cut, and assemble everything by hand, but we're so happy with how the zine turned out and hope you do too! There will only ever be 150 copies, so get one while we have them!
October 19th was the opening reception of Witch, Please! Thanks to everyone who came out! There's ONE WEEK left of the show, so if you haven't had a chance to stop by yet, do it soon! It's always awesome to see everything come together at the end of a big project like this.
There are over 50 pieces of art on the wall, all available for purchase. In this final week, you can grab them straight off the wall -- no need to come back later for pickup! Most of the pieces are 5"x5" in a 6"x6" frame, a great size for gifting, or that one small empty spot on your wall! Prints are available for a few of the pieces as well, including a limited edition Risograph print featuring Hereditary (2018)! Most regular Kickstarter rewards have been sent out, though there are a few tiers waiting on zine reprints or Seth's doodle and signature. If you haven't filled out your backer survey, do it soon! Otherwise, the book is available in-store and online, as well as at Scarecrow Video. We'll also be at Short Run this weekend, so you can pick one up there too! Max Mandell's solo show TIDEPOOL DREAMER opened this past Friday! 🦀
Be sure to make plans to come see this beautiful collection of watercolor work featuring all the best summer beach naturalist vibes. Cool off inside and feel refreshed just looking at these calming works! Tidepool Dreamer is on display through August 9! You can also browse the show online! THE CATS OF BALLARD opened last night!!
Thanks to everyone who came out, especially local celebrity Mochi of Ballard Books (our rad neighbours!), who is one of the cool Ballard cats that Kaylyn painted for the show!! 😸 So honored Mochi graced us with her presence. 💖 The show is up through July 12, so be sure to come see it!! A WHISTLING KETTLE: Introducing Haiku Comics is a show that's packed the wall, and it opened to a packed house! Great to meet and mingle with many of the contributing artists, including curators David Lasky and J.B.
Come see this amazing variety of haiku comics! The show is up through June 14th, so swing by before it moves on!
