2022
Alternate Realism: The Art of Denise Ortega
August-September 2022 Alternate Realism is Denise’s first solo show which highlights the ways she has been able to use art to express and heal over the past few years. Each piece evokes raw emotions that tell a story of an individual struggling to find peace within themselves and the world around them. Nestled amongst what might seem like ordinary backgrounds and portraits are traces of things gone slightly awry, blood splatters and bandages, things not being what they seem. |
Give Me Space: Summoning the Void
May-June 2022 Danielle Mapes is a multidisciplinary artist who works and resides in Seattle, Washington. In all mediums, Danielle explores the entwined relationships between trauma and evolution, on both a personal and cultural level, and is a passionate advocate for raising awareness about women's issues |
Come Together Now
April-May 2022 We invited 20 artists to paint a puzzle piece panel. Each artist was given three colors to use as the basis for their artwork and total control after that. Pieces can be joined or separate. We thought there's no better way to celebrate that we can all get together now than to have art that can truly be put together. |

The Distant Past
Between Two Worlds: Art inspired by Twin Peaks
Way back before Maxx started Push/Pull, she helped curate a show inspired by Twin Peaks at the Greenwood Art Collective. This was in 2012, before anyone knew there would be a third season return of the cult classic after 25 years away. Artists, musicians and creators all got together for a night of celebrating their favorite characters and stories. The show lived on annually through 2018 and was hosted at Push/Pull's Ballard location from 2016-2018.
