Teen Classes & Workshops


​Learn about comics, art, and crafts with us! Push/Pull pairs professional artists, cartoonists, and illustrators with students to teach creative skills. 

Students are responsible for their own transportation. The 44 bus stops right outside and 40 is a block away. The 17 and Rapid D lines also have stops nearby.

2024-25 School Year Sessions
Draw & Paint Party
1st Fridays, 5-7 PM, monthly

​This is a monthly class featuring introductory instruction in a rotating set of mediums, including graphite, watercolor, gouache, and acrylic. It's a great way for teens to both get started with a medium and to ask more advanced questions about a medium they may already be familiar with. While these classes are paid, partial or full scholarships are available as well.
FREE Sunday Open Studio
10 AM - NOON weekly

​This is a weekly session providing unstructured, but supervised, creative time for teens. They'll have use of our space and supplies for whatever projects they want to work on, whether that's a comic, some poetry, a painting -- whatever! A professional artist will be on hand to answer questions, provide feedback and direction, and to generally assist with projects.

Summer Camp Intensives
Every summer we run a series of "summer camps" for teens. These paid, multi-session classes are medium-specific crash courses perfect for introducing your creative teen to a painting, printmaking, zines, and more, while making friends and having focused art time.

Most of these classes are for teens 12-19, but some are geared towards younger kids, or older teens. Check each class for details!
