We're excited to introduce an Artist Residency Program with the goal of supporting and helping emerging artists establish a strong career foundation by creating, exhibiting, and publishing a cohesive body of work.

Over the course of three months, a selected artist will be provided:
  • Exclusive use of our studio space 2 days a week, starting March 1st
  • $500 stipend for materials and supplies
  • Mentorship, guidance, and advice from the professional artists at Push/Pull

At the end of the residency period, the artist will have a solo exhibition at Push/Pull and the opportunity to publish a book collecting their new work.

Application Details

We’re looking for an artist with a vision for a cohesive body of work. Your proposal should inform us as to the theme of your show and how the theme is communicated visually.

Artists at all stages in their careers are encouraged to apply, we especially encourage emerging artists and those that have not had a solo show in recent years.

Artists of all disciplines are welcome; however, our studio space is not suited or equipped for trade arts like ceramics, glasswork, or metalwork; or disciplines requiring strong ventilation.

Deadline to apply is January 30, 2023.

Push/Pull will notify top applicants to set up an interview by February 5th. Applicants that are not a good fit for the program will receive notification by the same date.

Resident will be announced no later than February 15th.

  •     Not a member or close relationship with Push/Pull member
  •     Live in the Seattle area
  •     Actively pursuing a professional artistic career
