For middle school students, we offer a weekly after school program on Wednesdays, 3:30pm - 5pm, starting September 27th. There are no classes during Seattle school district breaks.

High school students can now apply for an internship with Push/Pull.

​There are lots of ways to make a puppet! You can make friends big or small, simple or complex! It can be an intimidating art since there are so many ways to go about it, but that's why a multi-class series is a perfect introduction!

Opening this Thursday, August 17th is INNER-SECTIONS, a solo show featuring Seattle artist, Melissa Daye. Join us for the reception from 6-9 PM!

Melissa was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, the daughter of two medical professionals, but, while medicine remained an influence, her love for drawing and painting led her to art. INNER-SECTIONS explores her dual interests of visual expression and anatomy. 

​We've got SIGNED copies of the first two issues of The Twin Blades, an action comic that blends sci-fi and Aztec mythology into a story about family, believing in yourself, and magical swords. The Twin Blades is a latine story and is proudly produced by an entirely latine team of creators: Jarred Luján (writer), Julio Suarez (art), Rocco Langg (colors), Gabriela Downie (letterer).

We don't carry a lot of superhero-type comics, but if that's your genre, you should definitely give this one a shot!

Tuesday, August 15-18, 1-4pm daily: Come make puppets! We work hard to keep quality classes affordable while providing fair pay for our artist-instructors, but that means we gotta hit registration minimums! We hate having to cancel classes -- signing up early when possible helps a ton, but if you're a last minute spur-of-the-moment kinda person, this is your sign to go for it! 💖

Acrylic Painting Summer Camp! August 1-4, 3-6pm daily. Learn what acrylic paint is, how to mix colors, introduction to pigment names and attributes, how to select and clean your brushes, using palette/painting knives, mediums, painting surfaces, and methods of painting, and so much more! There's one spot left for this August session, but there are also spaces available in a shorter, 3-class series in September!

We've got two exciting adult "summer camp"s this week! These are multi-class series that really get in-depth with a topic, allowing you to come away with TONS of newfound knowledge and inspiration!

Color Exploration Camp goes deep into how pigments interact with each other in paint, but you'll also create and mix your own pigments, paints, and inks, to get a truly practical understanding of it all! Never be confused about how and why two colors somehow make brown again! (July 18-21, 10am-noon daily)

Making Marks Camp will help you discover new drawing techniques, different ways of approaching a drawing, and inspiration, but it's also great lessons in tackling perfectionism, art block, and your inner critic.
